- Olivia Rodrigo has been a fan of Babybel cheese since she was in elementary school.
- She also keeps Traditional Medicinals throat coat tea in her bag.
- The singer shares why she has been focusing on her health while on tour.
We all keep different things in our bags, and this also applies to celebrities. Ariana Grande’s purse is loaded with vegan snacks, Millie Bobby Brown constantly has tea on standby and another star recently revealed her unique favorites that she always has on hand.
In a recent video with Vogue, Olivia Rodrigo shares what she keeps in her bag—and it includes a snack that she’s been loving since childhood. This snack is not only good 4 u, but it’s also easy to pack for lunch.
“I love any type of cheese,” Rodrigo says. “My friends make fun of me for it, especially [Babybel] because they think it’s particularly elementary. I love Babybel so much, I love eating it and I love playing with the wax [packaging] and making wax statues out of it.”
Her love for Babybel cheese snack wheels is definitely not embarrassing. One Babybel contains four grams of protein—pair it with nuts for a satisfying snack break. Plus, cheese is a great source of calcium, a nutrient that’s essential for your bone health, teeth and muscle function.
Rodrigo says she loves Babybel because they’re “really nice” and “portable,” thanks to their nifty packaging. String cheese, mini brie bites and cubed or pre-cut cheeses are also simple dairy options to include more protein in your lunch box.
Alongside cheese (and her driver’s license), the singer also keeps tea in her bag, specifically Traditional Medicinals throat coat tea to help support her voice while touring. She says when she brews a cup of this tea, her “throat feels amazing,” which could be thanks to the licorice root in the blend. A study assessing the effectiveness of 13 different hot water herbal infusions on strep throat showed that tea with licorice root can help ease a sore throat because of its antibacterial properties.
Some more healthy habits from Rodrigo: She keeps electrolyte powder on hand in case she needs hydration assistance, and her favorite form of movement has been yoga as it helps with her anxiety. She shares why she has been concentrating more on her physical and mental well-being through a healthy lifestyle.
“I’ve been really focusing on my health lately, especially being on the road,” she explains. “If you don’t take care of yourself, it just becomes so hard to put on those shows and travel so much.” She also expresses that she’s been a fan of cooking recently, and that it helps her “eat well”—and we absolutely approve of that message!
