More than two million Ninja pressure cookers are being recalled nationwide after 106 reports of burn injuries. This recall specifically concerns all Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers.
Each 6.5-quart cooker should have a model number printed on a label on its side. The following model numbers are included in this recall: OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO and OP350CO.
These pressure cookers may have been purchased any time between from January 2019 through March 2025. The cookers were sold through a variety of online retailers, including Amazon, as well as in Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club and Target stores. They were also sold through some retailers in Canada.
The recalled cookers may have defective lids that can be opened during use, which could result in hot contents escaping, thus burning the person who opened the lid. This recall is connected to 106 reports of burns, including at least 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body. Twenty-six lawsuits have been filed related to this pressure cooker.
If you have one of these Ninja Foodi pressure cookers on hand, the manufacturer recommends that you stop using the pressure cooking function immediately and throw away the pressure cooker lid. You can continue to use the cooker for other functions like air frying.
To receive a new pressure cooking lid, fill out this online form with your information, including a photo of your cooker’s rear panel. All replacements will be handled online, so there’s no need to return the machine to your place of purchase.
