First Half into the Second Half… – Private Label Fitness | Branded Fitness

I hope you had a fantastic (and safe) July 4th weekend. And, maybe a little down time…?
But, now, here we go into the second half of the year.
So before it’s officially “game-on” time, let’s have a half-time locker room conversation.
Allow me to start with my own reflection with our partners and, maybe you, for the year so far.
Number #50 is Posted
One of my biggest goals for helping health and fitness professionals is creating content that works harder for your business than the normal “junk” that is all over the internet.
Our Digital Partners now have 50 professionally written blog posts on their websites. But, they are way more than just blog posts. Our content is created to serve as multi-purpose information pieces.
Each article can become:
✅ Social media posts
✅ Email newsletters
✅ Client handouts
✅ Short videos or reels
✅ Conversation starters
The goal is simple…
Make $1 of content do the work of $10.
Listen… the more ways you repurpose your quality content, the more traffic, credibility and client engagement you’ll generate without constantly reinventing the wheel.
Drop Shippers are Up…
I’m super happy to report our Nutritional Formulation drop shipping program is on track to pay more than +30% commissions this year-to-date over last year.
And, a few marketing savvy “drop shippers” who’ve been promoting their brand supplements on social media, email and in-house are up over 200%.
Here’s the key. You don’t need a lot of different products (it causes confusion). All it takes is consistently selling the same formulations to the same loyal customers month-after-month, year-after-year.
Trainer / Teachers…
I’m not going to brag about Onboard 101 – except to say it’s “amazing” how many fitness trainers have found their way into:
✅ corporate wellness programs
✅ medical facilities
✅ municipalities
… simply by offering this amazing educational online course. And, of course it has boosted all other services as well. Congratulations! 👍 🚀
Health & Fitness Trends I’m Watching
The health and fitness industry is always evolving and changing based on new discoveries in exercise techniques, new business models and changing social environments.
I make it a point to watch these trends carefully because over the years, I’ve witnessed the acceleration of new ideas and how it impacts our partners.
This doesn’t mean you should jump at every new thing.
In fact, it’s often just the opposite. What’s important is have an “awareness” of what’s happening around you in your industry.
Here are just a few things I’m watching for the second half of the year:
Nature Is Making a Comeback
Consumers are spending less time glued to screens and more time outside. Recent research found that 76% of people are intentionally seeking more offline experiences, while 74% say spending time on the water improves their mental health more than meditation apps.
Even more surprising, 56% would choose unlimited outdoor experiences over access to a traditional gym.
Maybe outdoor boot camps are ready for a comeback.
HIIT Is Evolving
HIIT training hasn’t disappeared. It is maturing and evolving.
Many boutique studios are blending strength training with lower-impact interval workouts, largely because they’re serving an older demographic that still wants great results without unnecessary wear and tear.
Alcohol… Yes? No? Maybe?
The public seems more confused than ever.
More than half of Americans now believe moderate alcohol consumption is unhealthy, compared to just 25% a decade ago. Yet 70% still value alcohol for its social benefits, and many say they’d give up soft drinks before giving up wine or cocktails.
Even more interesting, most people who believe alcohol is unhealthy still aren’t planning to reduce their intake.
Human behavior is fascinating.
Another Great Reason to Exercise
A recent survey of 18,000 U.S. adults found that many people struggling with depression are turning to cannabis, GLP-1 medications, weight-loss supplements, gaming and online communities in search of relief.
While some of those tools may have a place, we as an industry should be shouting:
“Don’t overlook one of the most effective mood boosters available: regular exercise.”
It’s inexpensive, accessible and continues to be one of the most powerful tools for improving both physical and mental well-being.
I hope the second half of the year brings new clients, new opportunities and continued success.
✅ Keep learning.
✅ Keep serving.
✅ Keep making a difference.
